Design Process

My hope is that you will consider me a part of your extended team to allow me to create the most effective marketing materials possible.

I work with companies, agencies, and start-ups to create clean and meaningful designs that focus on the customer experience first. Whether you’re big or small, near or far, I can work with you to meet your needs by creating cohesive designs, identities, and experiences to support and grow your brand. Your needs are unique to you and your business and my services need to be tailored for you.

Although no two projects are exactly alike, but there is a general process that I follow to make sure things run as smoothly as possible.

After you’ve made contact and answered any questions I have about your project, we’ll schedule a phone call or coffee meeting to get to know each other. We’ll talk about your business goals, get a feel for what your design requirements are, and make a plan to move forward. I may ask you to come up with some examples of designs that you are drawn to so we’re on the same page.

Partner Up

If we decide to to team up, I’ll create an estimate based on our consultation. If you’re happy with the quote, you’ll agreement and pay a deposit of 50%. I’ll put together a schedule so we both know exactly when to expect your project to be completed.

This is the part where you get to sit back and relax knowing that your project is safe in my hands. The first step in creating is research and brainstorm ideas. After getting a sense of direction, the concepts are created and presented to you.

Revise & Refine

When you see your proof I need your feedback! We’ll work together through a few rounds of edits until you are 100% happy. I’ll put together one final set of proofs for you to carefully review and approve before the next steps.

Once you’ve signed off on a design that you love, your project gets prepped and ready to be handed off to you. If we’ve been working on a logo and branding, your logo files and brand guidelines are prepped and handed to you in every format that you will need. If it’s a print piece we’ve been working on, your files are prepped and ready for to be sent to print. For website design, it means your site is launched and goes live.
